Who dreams of worlds and brings them into being? Who conjures characters, creatures, castles, summons weather, raises armies and inspires heroes? In truth, I speak of Concept Artists, veritable wizards of the film, animation, comic book and gaming world. With imagination and artistic skill they cast spells and create magical mayhem.

Magnificent award-winning illustrator Sophie Jonas-Hill created the beautiful artwork for Issue 7 of the Fawcett Times. Her distinctive hand drawings are mostly created using pen, ink and watercolour. She conjures beautiful worlds with a twist of dark humour and mayhem. From metal work and making jewellery, to pattern cutting in the wedding industry... 

The Captain's RHMan, was in London with select members of the Fawcett crew on Saturday 23rd April, invited as VIP guests of rock star John Petrucci who recently won the Grammy Award for Best Metal Performance with ‘The Alien’. John was in town with Dream Theater, to play Wembley on the British leg of their ‘Top of the World’ tour. 

On 1st Feb 2022 artist Vincent Kamp unveiled a new painting at prestigious Mayfair Gallery, The Clarendon. It was specially created to support BarbersRide’s chosen charity, Make-A-Wish. The subject of the work is Pete MacGowan, winner of a unique raffle to sit for a portrait. And Pete happens to have completed his first BarbersRide in 2021 - in his mid-70s.

It gives me great pleasure to announce that my First Class Gentleman's Grooming Requisites are now available for purchase at Harvey Nichols, London. Ricki Hall and my Right Hand Man, Richie, attended the most excellent launch of the new Male Grooming Department just a few nights ago.
