Evviva!

FROM BOVINO TO THE WORLD

More than two centuries after Vincenzo first opened his hill top barbershop, the Scapicchio family name still stands proudly above the door.

The years between tell an extraordinary story of skill, courage and determination.

In 1910, Luigi Scapicchio's great-grandfather crossed the Atlantic to Chicago, where he established a celebrated Italian barbershop and, in time, became one of Al Capone's most trusted personal barbers. But therein lies another tale...

What mattered most was the craft he carried with him.

For the Scapicchios, barbering is more than a profession. It is a calling, passed from one generation to the next through knowledge, discipline and devotion to the client.

Today, that inheritance draws barbers from around the globe back to where it all began: Bovino.

ACCADEMIA SCAPICCHIO 1820

Accademia Scapicchio 1820 is the world's first academy dedicated to traditional ceremonial shaving, teaching the celebrated Scapicchio Method™ developed through seven generations of family practice.

Here, the traditional Italian wet shave becomes ceremony. Every gesture has purpose. Every client is the guest of honour.

Students master the discipline and precision demanded by the keenly honed cut-throat razor, learning not only technique but a philosophy in which excellence is never hurried.

Captain Fawcett is immensely proud that his simply ‘First Class Gentlemen's Grooming Requisites’ have been selected by the Scapicchio family for use throughout their Academy, accompanying tomorrow's master barbers as they carry this extraordinary heritage forward.
