In truth, I speak of Concept Artists, veritable wizards of the film, animation, comic book and gaming world. With imagination and artistic skill they cast spells and create magical mayhem.
Mike McCarthy is just such a magician.
Last year Mike completed work as a Senior Concept Artist on the magnificent Hogwarts Legacy, a stunning immersive, open-world action RPG set in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. But this time we’re transported to the 1800s, I say! Right up my Diagon Alley! Simply splendidlyamus!
Even more stupendous, Mike McCarthy is the visionary artist who has lent his astounding powers of invention to one Captain Fawcett. Especially for FT readers, Mike has created a wondrously hirsute illustration, to be found only upon the cover of the next The Fawcett Times. It is really rather special.
Each edition of The Fawcett Times features exclusively designed work by a celebrated artist and as such, they have become highly collectible. The next edition is currently underway and will be apparating, as a certain young wizard might say, in early spring.
